About Nostalgia

Passionate about the 1990's rave scene, a group of volunteers have come together to re-create the rave experience in the same venue, The Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Room

whilst also bringing the experience to other locations in the UK.

You may remember events in the Ocean Room such as The Sanctuary, Pressure, Futureland and Woodstock which brought people together in a decade which can never be forgotten.

Nostalgia is completely non-profit, and is ran by volunteers committed to bringing that authentic 90s experience whilst also offering the next generation a chance to be part of this amazing scene.

All events will be raising much needed funds for local charities and causes.

Legendary Vinyl DJs

Only a true 90s atmosphere can be

experienced when you have the same

musicianship and skill which was given

back in the day which comes

from using vinyl records. And of course we only use original Technics turntables. The legendary SL-1210 Mk2.

Not only does Nostalgia bring you these skilled DJs, but we make sure the production, along with a 100% analogue soundsystem brings you a level of production whose integrity cannot be beaten.

The Next Generation

Nostalgia is committed to giving the

next generation of DJs a chance to perform, and experience that

which was undoubtedly the best decade for the rave scene, the 1990s.

Training programmes are provided by our resident DJs and MCs working with local youth organisations to give young people the best chance to learn DJing skills using vinyl records. Not only that but our in-house engineers also provide training in sound and lighting production.

Meet our resident DJs & MC's

Richie T

You have probably been tuning into Richie's regular 'Vinyl Revival' radio show every Friday night on Air 107.2 - Weymouth & Portlands community radio station.

A well known DJ who started his career way back in 1988 at the tender age of 14, gaining much recognition throughout the 1990s,  Richie helped organise the first Nostalgia event back in 2009 and now oversees the running of these events. Officially listed as a music teacher, Richie oversees DJ tuition being given to the next generation.

With a passion to authenticity, Richie knows the importance of using vinyl records at these events, and has even built one of the largest 100% analogue soundsystems in the south of the UK to ensure crystal clear sound quality.

Richie recently hit Number 1 in the UK Hardcore Mix Charts along with MC BarnStorma

MC BarnStorma

There is no one more original than MC BarnStorma!

BarnStorma has been an MC at many of the original events throughout the 1990s,

and still continues to grace the crowd with his passion and energy.

Its all about keeping the crowd uplifted, which is why BarnStorma's original lyrics

keep you on your feet all night long.

Knowing how to work with DJs and how to host the music is a skill which BarnStorma definitely has, and is why DJs love to work with him.

You can see more about BarnStorma on his Facebook Artist Page

DJ Hoody

We all love to see DJ Hoody on the turntables, with his turntablist skills

which definitely gets the crowd going.

The ability to mix different styles, Jungle, Drum & Bass,  Oldskool & Hardcore  is one of the reasons why you will often see DJ Hoody at Nostalgia.

Benjee certainly likes to keep an eye on the crowd, and working with the music

knows how to keep you on your feet.

We love having Benjee at Nostalgia,

as does everyone who has been to these events!

DJ Will

DJ Will is our newest DJ on the scene. Having only been mixing on vinyl since Autumn 2022, he did not disappoint when he performed his first set at Nostalgia in April 2023.

DJ Will's favourite genre is UK Hardcore, but is able to mix multi-format which includes 90s dance anthems.

He also loves to get stuck in with the production, setting up the sound and lighting which certainly shows how much he is dedicated to ensuring these events run smoothly.

DJ Kels

DJ Kels is a force to be reckoned with, and she certainly knows her music.

Kels has been part of the rave scene since the 1990s and was involved in some of the original events back in the day.

Her record bag is definitely full of surprises, and you will definitely be drawn to that dancefloor when she is on the decks!

DJ G-Nutz

G-Nutz has been on the hardcore scene for many years

and certainly knows his music.

He certainly knows how to work a crowd with his music selection, and will drop in

some of the best bangers you thought you forgot!

With some of the mid to later 90's hardcore in his record bag

you definitely know youre up for a good time when hes on the decks.

Its a pleasure to have G-Nutz on regular line-ups for Nostalgia!
